RELATIONSHIP MGR.

Job Summary:

Responsible for account retention and solicitation of larger depository relationships of REIDS (Real Estate Industry Deposits) customers and prospects within an assigned market segment.  May independently cross sell most  banking and cash management services.

Major Responsibilities:

Generate new business in respective industry/industries through new customer acquisition and
through cross selling bank products and services. Prepare complex proposals and pro-formas for new services sold to assigned customers and prospects. Analyze pricing requests for assigned and
prospective customers, prepare pricing models, and analyze the effect of recommending pricing
changes on overall account profitability.

Increase Bank's share of customer's total relationship; monitor and enhance profitability of all
assigned relationships; cross sell Bank products and services.

Maintain a portfolio of customers and ensure customer satisfaction.

Organize and implement a written account retention program for each customer, which best meets
their needs. Develop professional relationships with assigned customers and prospects which
results in customers who feel connected and important to the Bank.

Maintain a detailed and complete tracking system of all assigned customers.  Monitor and update
customer profiles that are maintained.

Work with customers, cash management, and product management to create innovative solutions
which assure customers receive superior systems specific to their industry.

Work closely as a "team player" with all members of REIDS to provide superior service to customers.

Work closely with Assistant Relationship Manager and Commercial Customer Service Unit
personnel to assure customers receive superior operational support.

Adherence to all bank policies relative to Regulatory Compliance such as the Bank Secrecy Act,
USA Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering Act, Privacy Act. and Regulations Q & X (RESPA).
Certification that all related forms such as Customer Identification Program (CIP), Know Your
Customers (KYC), Suspicious Activity Reports (SARS), Currency and Transaction Reporting
(CTR), etc. are completed within assigned time periods.

Job Accountabilities:                                                         
  • Perform related duties as may be assigned.
Additional Information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include selling of bank services; dealing with customers and bank personnel in resolving operational problems and giving presentations.
  • Excellent PC skills - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, ESB, Proposal Library and other PC applications.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Requires frequent travel within assigned geographical territory within the State.

The following are not required for applicants from the community management industry, but will be considered a plus should a applicant have them. The employer will provide any required  training on the banking industry to those selected for employment from the community management industry for this position.

  • Typically requires a degree from a four-year college (e.g., B.A., B.S.).
  • Minimum 2 years of sales and relationship management experience. Property Management industry experience preferred. Relationships with local developers preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of: marketing and sales techniques of the Bank's products and their benefit to customers; Bank lending policies and practices; Bank operations and services, and federal and state banking regulations; the relationship of the Bank's income and cost structure at the account level. 
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) accreditation preferred.
  • Good knowledge of cash management products and services.
  • Must have good knowledge of Bank's AAA and Deposit Profitability system
