About Your Engagement Agreement with Adamen Inc.
Does this service cost me anything? No. The fee is paid by the hiring entity. (Based upon formal acceptance of offer for employment and actual employment with firm providing offer for employment. (See following Paragraph)
Then what's that $750 the letter refers to in paragraph 4? That paragraph is to discourage managers from utilizing our services to better their position with their current employer. For example, say you are currently employed and use our service to interview at another firm or association, and that firm or association offers you a position, and you accept the offer, through verbal agreement or in writting. Subsequent to that offer, and your acceptance, your current employer makes you a counter-offer to stay with them, which you decide to accept. At that time, you would owe our firm a fee of $750 for the services rendered on your behalf that allowed you to negotiate, wittingly or unwittingly, a better or different position at your current employer.
How can I be sure my employer won't find out? We work as confidentially as possible within the parameters of placing people in our relatively small industry. There are no 100% guarantees. But, in the past 14+ years we have been placing managers, we have not, to the best of our knowledge, had this confidence betrayed by our clients to current employers. However, once your resume is out "on the streets" your employer may find out, and that is something you will have to be prepared for.
My employer is a client of yours. How will THAT work? It may seem odd, but we are all on a "don't ask, don't tell" basis that has worked well. If your employer is a client, we do not reveal to them you have listed your resume with us, and they do not expect us to.
Can I still look for job outside of your services? Yes. All we ask is that you notify us of what ads you are answering, or where you are going, hopefully PRIOR to your going there.
What about my resume? Will Adamen Inc. re-write it for me if I need them to? No. We may make minor changes to help you put your best foot forward, but we recommend a professional resume service.
What if the job I applied for turns out to be the company or association I work for? We will let you know immediately of the conflict and obviously will not send your resume there.
Will you send my resume out without my knowledge? No. That is a Big No. We discuss the possible directions with you then take a course that works for you.
If I see additional jobs posted on your website or in the newsletter, and I want you to send my resume, will you? Possibly, but not if you do not fit the parameters set forth by the client.
How can I terminate my relationship with Adamen Inc.? Simply send us a letter, electronic or hard copy.
I'm an experienced manager with designations, and I'm not really unhappy, but I would like to be open to new opportunity. How can you help me? Experienced managers, supervisors and on site managers are often limited in their upward mobility. When those positions do come up, they are usually filled quickly. Knowledge of position openings is critical to securing the interview. So we suggest that you do what many of our candidates are doing: Place your resume on file with us, so when opportunities are available, you are one of the first to get called (by us) for interview.
This particularly applies to On Site Managers.
